NISLT Commiserates With the Family, Friends and Members of ASLTON on the Passing of Late Mr. Anthony Osas Iyamu

NISLT commiserates with the family, friends and members of the Association of Science Laboratory Technologists of Nigeria (ASLTON) on the passing of late Mr. Anthony Osas Iyamu.

The Acting Director General, Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Peter Adefisoye Oluwafisoye FISLT, Management and other members of staff of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT) an Agency of the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology (FMIST) extends their heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and members of the Association of Science Laboratory Technologists of Nigeria (ASLTON) on the passing of late Mr. Anthony Osas Iyamu FISLT .

The late Mr. Anthony Osas Iyamu was a distinguished and dedicated member of the Nigerian Institute of science Laboratory Technology and served meritoriously as the National President of the Association of Science Laboratory Technologists of Nigeria (ASLTON). Through Out his life time, he demonstrated an exceptional commitment, resilience and unwavering dedication to the advancement of the Science Laboratory Technology profession in Nigeria.

 Reacting to the sad news, the Acting Director-General, Dr. Peter Adefisoye Oluwafisoye, described Mr. Iyamu’s passing as a rude shock, noting that considering his age and invaluable contributions to the profession, his demise is a monumental loss not only to his immediate family but also to the entire Science Laboratory Technology community.

The late Mr. Anthony Osas Iyamu will be remembered for his exemplary leadership, dedication, humility and outstanding service to the profession, his contributions to the growth of ASLTON and the Science Laboratory Technology profession will continue to inspire both the present and future generations he said.

While acknowledging that the late Mr. Iyamu had battled a prolonged illness, Dr. Oluwafisoye urged members of the profession and the bereaved family to find comfort in God’s sovereignty and accept His divine will with faith and courage.

He further noted that although Mr. Iyamu’s passing has created significant vacuum within his family, ASLTON and the Science Laboratory Technology profession, his enduring legacy of service, professionalism and commitment to excellence will remain indelible. He encouraged the family to take solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilled and impactful life, leaving behind a legacy worthy of emulation.

The Acting Director-General prayed that the Almighty God would grant the family of late Mr. Anthony Osas Iyamu FISLT, the Association of Science Laboratory Technologists of Nigeria (ASLTON) and the entire Science Laboratory Technology community, the strength, comfort and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss
